The Beach
Seems like an obvious choice, but family photos at the beach are classic and timeless. For best lighting go at sunrise or sunset and you’ll avoid that harsh overhead sunlight.
Jacksonville Beach Pier
Under the Jax Beach Pier offers some shade as well as an interesting landscape for pictures. When the tide is low there are lots of small tide pools that will keep little kids interested.
Beaches History Museum
Located off the hustle and bustle of Beach Blvd, the Beaches History Museum has beautifully landscaped buildings with lots of great spots for pictures. The late afternoon light offers some amazing colors in the sky that translate to fantastic pictures.
The Mini Bar Donut Shop
If you haven’t visited The Mini Bar Donut Shop and taken a picture at their light up Treat Yo’Self sign, then you should go. Fun for casual selfies and adorable pictures of your kids, be sure to pick up a few donuts while you’re there.
Mayport Ferry Station
Our team picked the Mayport Ferry Station because of the large numbers painted on the loading lanes. If you want a picture with the birthday boy or girl next to their age (1-10) be sure to check it out. Just make sure to go when the ferry is closed so you don’t risk causing a traffic jam.
The Jacksonville Beach Wall
Painted on the side of Graffiti Junktion Burger Bar in Jacksonville Beach, this mural is colorful and the perfect place to take friends and family when they come to visit.
The Fish Wall
Hidden back on 4th Street North between 17th & 18th Ave North, next to Fletcher Middle School, the fish wall is long enough to accommodate a large group picture, and whimsical for a fun photoshoot with the kids.
Atlantic Beach Stairs
Located in the Beaches Town Center, next to Jax Surf & Paddle is a beautifully tiled set of stairs that makes a stunning photo shoot location. The sun in this area can be harsh during the day, so go early in the morning or late in the afternoon for the best pictures.
Cradle Creek Preserve
Rounding out our favorite photo shoot locations in Jacksonville Beach is Cradle Creek Preserve. Nestled in a quiet area of Jacksonville Beach, Cradle Creek Preserve is a great location for pictures. You have what feels like miles of boardwalk to find the perfect spot. In addition, the large trees provide shade throughout the area.
