Did you know there are lots of great sprinkle parks and splash pads throughout Jacksonville that are completely free to visit? Many sit near a local Jacksonville park and they are a great way to keep the kids cool during that long, hot, Florida summer.
One of our favorites is South Beach Park & Sunshine Playground in Jacksonville Beach. This park is a favorite of Jacksonville parents because of the great playground, wide open field, and free splash pad. There’s a separate spray area for toddlers making it a great place to take little kids. The Sunshine Park splash pad is open for the 2024 summer.
While there are lots of great free splash pads, there are a few that require a fee to use. The sprinkle pad at the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is free to use, but only once you’re inside the zoo. Hanna Park also has a fee to enter, and that splash pad is newly renovated and offers lots for kids.
