In Jacksonville, you will find a huge community of homeschool families, and many ways to get your kids involved with others. There are many different co-ops, programs, and activities that are catered towards the homeschool community. While there are tons of great homeschool activities in Jacksonville, these are a few of our favorites.
Grow Kids Homeschool Program
This wonderful homeschool program is run by Heather Horrell. Grow Kids offers a homeschool drop off program, homeschool enrichment classes, parent night out events, birthday parties, camps and more. They provide hands-on learning activities and projects to make learning fun.
Age group: All ages, 1-6 year olds can take classes with their caregiver.

Free Range Co-Op
Free Range co-op is one of the most well-known homeschool programs in the Jacksonville area. Your kids can take up to 4 classes every Tuesday in a variety of subjects including academics, sports, STEAM classes, preschool classes, and more. Parents must volunteer in the classroom.

YMCA Homeschool PE Classes
YMCA offers an hour long homeschool PE program twice a week. Classes are free with a YMCA membership, and are offered at multiple locations throughout Jacksonville.
Age group: 5-12
Location: Various First Coast YMCA locations.
Jax Cooking Studio
Cooking classes are a wonderful blend of learning about nutrition, math, and science. Kids get to enjoy learning how to create tasty treats on their own while learning at the same time.

Orange Park School of Music
Owned by a local homeschool family, Orange Park School of Music offers a homeschool beginner workshop that runs for six weeks on Fridays. The school also offers private and group music lessons for the drums, guitar, piano, violin, viola, and cello, as well as voice lessons.

MOSH Homeschool Academy and Homeschool Takeover Days
MOSH offers three week class sessions that are focused on interactive learning for homeschool students. Each class builds on the last, and students are able to learn about science through hands-on activities. Homeschool families can also enjoy exploring the museum on Homeschool Takeover Days, when it is closed to other public patrons.

Library Classes for Homeschoolers
Search the Jacksonville Public Library event calendar to find homeschool art and science classes near you. Free classes are offered at multiple locations on the First Coast area including Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau, and St. John’s counties.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Homeschool Zoocademy
These homeschool classes allow children to learn about zoology, environmental science, and more as they explore the zoo. Kids are able to learn all about animals as they observe them in real life.

Bolts and Bytes Maker Academy
Located in Jacksonville Beach, Bolts and Bytes offers STEM classes such as 3D printing, coding, robotics, woodworking, electronic circuitry, and more. These classes are a great way for kids to learn special skills that parents might not be able to teach at home.

Classical Conversations
Classical Conversations is a Christian-based homeschool community with many locations all over the world. Students practice public speaking, science, history, math, art, Latin, and more with a Christian worldview.
