Tucked away among warehouses in Jacksonville Beach, is a playground for local kids. There are no slides or swings at this playground. This is a STEM maker space where kids can create, tinker and invent. Stocked with tools and circuits, LED lights and 3-D printers, Bolts & Bytes Maker Academy has everything needed to help your kids create something amazing.
Bolts & Bytes offers Workshops for Kids
When you step into the Bolts & Bytes workshop you immediately notice it’s filled with every tool your child could possible need to invent something new. From state of the art 3-D printers to wrenches, sanders, and screwdrivers. This modern, hands on maker lab is delight for kids that enjoy tinkering. There are various stations throughout the space. It’s easy to see at first glance the wide diversity of classes offered.

Bolts & Bytes offers STEM based after school programs, such as Drone Flying and Maker’s Lab as well as summer camps such as Spy Academy and 3-D Printing. Check their calendar regularly because they’re always adding workshops. During the holidays there are single evening classes that the whole family can enjoy.

Bolts & Bytes Maker Academy is the brain child or Reed Beaubouef. Reed is a Fletcher High graduate who is excited to bring this type of STEM learning program to our community. He has poured all of his passions for the arts, making and education into the founding of Bolts & Bytes.
Bolts & Bytes Maker Academy is a creative and innovative maker space and a great place for kids to learn, invent and tinker. Having taken multiple classes through Bolts & Bytes, we can tell you the experience is top notch. The workshops are detailed, the instructors are dedicated and the hands on activities are engaging.
