Located on the outskirts of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Baldwin Rail Trail is a 14.5 mile biking trail that’s the perfect spot to take the family for a leisurely ride. This Jacksonville park is a hidden gem where kids can ride and families can enjoy some time outdoors.

Go Camping at Hanna Park

Hanna Park is one of our favorite spots in Jacksonville for family fun and it’s a great place to camp with the family. Reserve one of their camping spaces and enjoy the beach, playground, and everything Hanna Park has to offer.

Walk the Boardwalk at Timucuan Preserve

If you haven’t explored the Timucuan Preserve, then you’re missing out on a great day of fun. You can hike and search for animals, enjoy the spring weather and get a little exercise. Spring is the perfect time of year before the heat and the bugs make their appearance.

Go to the Clay County Agricultural Fair

The Clay County Fair has a something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for food, rides, animals, or arts & crafts, spring is the perfect time to visit the fair.

Ravine Gardens State Park is just a short hour drive from Jacksonville and makes a great day trip with kids. This park has lots to do and great trails to explore. Probably our favorite part about this Florida State Park is the wooden suspension bridges you get to hike over. Go in early spring when all the azaleas are in bloom.
