Thank you Summer Waves for inviting us to experience the water park. All opinions are our own.
Located in the heart of Jekyll Island, Summer Waves is a water park that’s the perfect combination of adventure and chill. One of our favorite summer day trips from Jacksonville, it’s by far one of the closest and least expensive options for a water park day trip with the kids.
Enjoy Some Great Slides
One of our favorite things about Summer Waves Water Park is how many slides they offer visitors. Upon first arrival at the park, visitors are able to enjoy several slides right away. Since it’s not as big as some of the Orlando water parks, the compact size allows you the freedom to ride a variety of slides without having to walk very far.
There’s Lots for Little Kids
If you have toddlers and preschoolers, then Summer Waves is a great attraction to visit. There are several splash areas that are geared towards little kids, making it easy to keep them cool. Children 3 and under also get free admission. All of this makes it easy for parents of littles when visiting the water park.
In addition to the thrilling slides you can ride at Summer Waves, there are lots of great spaces for relaxing. Large areas of lounge chairs are set up and most of them are shaded. If you want to relax in the water, there’s a lazy river that loops through the park. Tubes are provided and you can float for as long as you want soaking up the rays.
